I purchased liquitube in the summer of 2024 for my dumpster rental business. I use tandem axle dump trailers for all my dumpsters rather than roll offs. I installed liquitube in my tires after speaking with Adam and having all my questions answered. I don’t show up to job sites with flat tires on a loaded dump trailer very much anymore. If I do I just air them up and go. The liquitube inside has sealed them every time. I am no longer pulling tires of to make repairs. I simply remove the nail or screw 99% of the time, air up the tire and go. Liquitube has been invaluable to my business and my time. I just purchased another 5 gallons for my newest load of dump trailers I purchased and have been completely satisfied with how this product works.

frequently asked questions
-
What does LiQuiTube do?
- What tires can LiQuiTube be used in?
- Are there any downsides?
Q: Is LiQuiTube just a tire repair product?
A: LiQuiTube is full tire maintenance program in a single product. LiQuiTube protects against bead, rim, porosity, weather cracking, and puncture leaks to maintain proper air pressure for the life of the tire. The proper inflation, cooler operating temperature and dynamic balance provided by LiQuiTube makes tires last longer and helps vehicles get better fuel economy.
Q: How large of a puncture will LiQuiTube seal?
A: LiQuiTube will seal 1/4″ punctures in the crown tread area of all air filled tires. Larger punctures up to 3/4″ will normally seal in heavy ply industrial tires.
Q: Is LiQuiTube a temporary repair?
A: LiQuiTube makes a permanent repair that lasts for the life of the tire.
Q: Can LiQuiTube be applied over another sealant that is not working?
A: LiQuiTube’s sealing abilities are much greater than most other sealants. If applied over the top of another sealant, LiQuiTube will still be able to seal most tire leaks. However, many other sealants also harm tires and wheels while they are inside a tire and LiQuiTube will not be able to keep them from corroding and rusting the tires and wheels. It may also be difficult to clean out the combined products once the tire is removed.
Q: How much does LiQuiTube Cost?
A: The cost to treat most tires with LiQuiTube is between 5% and 10% of the new tire cost. The savings provided by LiQuiTube through extended tread life, elimination of tire repairs, reducing unproductive down time is usually between 20% to 40% of the new tire cost. It is way more expensive to not use LiQuiTube than it is to use it.
Q: Can LiQuiTube seal side-wall punctures?
A: The coating provide by LiQuiTube covers all the inner surfaces of the tire and wheel. It takes longer for LiQuiTube to seal sidewall punctures as well as bead, rim, and wheel leaks, but most smaller leaks in those areas will normally seal. Some air pressure may need to be added over time as the permanent seals are being made. To continue packing plugs into the leaks, the tires need to be continually operated under a load.
Q: Can LiQuiTube seal weather cracking?
A: The coating provide by LiQuiTube covers all the inner surfaces of the tire and wheel. It takes longer for LiQuiTube to seal weather cracking as well as bead, rim, and wheel leaks, but most smaller leaks in those areas will normally seal. Some air pressure may need to be added over time as the permanent seals are being made. To continue packing plugs into the leaks, the tires need to be continually operated under a load.
Q: Can LiQuiTube help prevent tire blow-outs?
A: Most tire blow-outs are caused by heat build up due to under inflation, vibration and heavy loads. The proper inflation, cooler operating temperature, and dynamic balance provided by LiQuiTube greatly reduces tire blow-outs not only saving money, but increasing operating safety.
Q: Can LiQuiTube help prevent thrown re-treads?
A: Most thrown-retreads are caused by heat build up due to under inflation, tire flexing, vibration, and heavy loads. The proper inflation, cooler operating temperature, and dynamic balance provided by LiQuiTube greatly reduces thrown retreads and increases casing durability making additional retreads possible.
Q: Can LiQuiTube seal a leaking wheel O-ring?
A: The coating provide by LiQuiTube covers all the inner surfaces of the tire and wheel. It takes longer for LiQuiTube to seal O-rings as well as bead, rim, and other wheel leaks, but most smaller leaks in those areas will normally seal. Some air pressure may need to be added over time as the permanent seals are being made. To continue packing plugs into the leaks, the tires need to be continually operated under a load.
Q: Should I wait to use LiQuiTube until I have a puncture?
A: LiQuiTube can be used as a puncture or air leak repair, but it is better to never have the flat tire and vehicle down time to begin with. LiQuiTube maintains air pressure, makes tires run cooler, increases tread life, increases vehicle fuel economy, and dynamically balances high speed industrial tires, eliminating the need for tire repairs for the life of the tire.
Q: Are my tire problems too severe for LiQuiTube?
A: The cooler operating temperatures of LiQuiTube treated tires keeps the rubber more firm so it is more difficult for large objects to puncture a tire or cuts and gashes to make it through the tire. LiQuiTube will seal three times larger punctures than most tire sealants on the market. LiQuiTube coats the entire inner surface of the tire and wheel to prevent many more types of air loss than other sealants as well.
Q: What if my tires are failing before the tread wears out?
A: Many tire problems are caused by heat build up due to under inflation, tire flexing, vibration, and heavy loads. The proper inflation, cooler operating temperature, and dynamic balance provided by LiQuiTube greatly reduces all causes of tire failures.
Q: Is LiQuiTube DOT approved?
A: LiQuiTube meets Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration regulations for steer, drive and passive tire repairs as a self-curing compound on the inside of a tire.
Q: Can LiQuiTube be used in high speed tires?
A: Steer Axle Tires need to be on 19.5″ rims with standard tire sidewalls, or they need to be 10 ply or heavier tires. LiQuiTube can be used in all non steer-axle high speed tires. LiQuiTube cannot be installed through valve stems with TPMS sensors. LiQuiTube is safe for hermetically sealed TPMS sensors if it is installed directly into the tire before the tire is mounted on the rim. LiQuiTube will dynamically balance high speed industrial tires.
Q: Can LiQuiTube be used in steer tires?
A: LiQuiTube can be used in, and will dynamically balance industrial tires on 19.5″ rims with standard tire sidewalls, or 10 ply or heavier tires. LiQuiTube meets Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administration regulations for steer, drive and passive tire repairs as a self-curing compound on the inside of a tire. Steer Tires are much safer once protected by LiQuiTube since a flat tire or blow out on a steer tire can lead to loss of vehicle control. LiQuiTube cannot be installed through valve stems with TPMS sensors. LiQuiTube is safe for hermetically sealed TPMS sensors if it is installed directly into the tire before the tire is mounted on the rim.
Q: I use a tire shop for my tires. Do I have to install LiQuiTube myself?
A: It is easy to self-install LiQuiTube through the valve stem once the valve core is removed. LiQuiTube can also work with your local tire shop to provide pre-treated tires for your equipment. LiQuiTube is the #1 industrial tire protection product and is already carried by many commercial tire shops. Please let us know if your local tire shop is not already an installing dealer of LiQuiTube.
Q: What if I don’t have many flat tires?
A: Some driving conditions are less prone to punctures than others. Even if you don’t have many flat tires, LiQuiTube is still guaranteed to save you time and money through air pressure maintenance, cooler tire operating temperatures, longer tread life, better fuel economy, and proper dynamic tire balance.
Q: What temperatures can LiQuiTube be used in?
A: LiQuiTube is effective from -45°F to 200°F. LiQuiTube does not freeze solid until -70°F. If frozen, LiQuiTube will work again if the temperature goes back above -45°F.
Q: How much air pressure does a tire need to use LiQuiTube?
A: LiQuiTube has successfully been used in extreme air pressure conditions of 5 psi balloon tires up to 150 psi mobile cranes. Tire protected with LiQuiTube should be used in their normal operating air pressure ranges.
Q: Can LiQuiTube be used with liquid ballast?
A: LiQuiTube LiQuid Ballast Sealant is a specific LiQuiTube concentrated formula that can be mixed with any liquid ballast at a 1 to 10 ratio turning the entire ballast mixture into a tire sealing ballast. LiQuiTube Premium and Extreme Tire Protection Products are water soluble and will not work when mixed with LiQuiTube Ballast.
Q: Will LiQuiTube work in tubes?
A: LiQuiTube is more effective in tubeless tires. LiQuiTube can be installed directly into an inner tube for a tire and wheel that has to have an inner tube. The puncture size is limited since LiQuiTube has to not only seal the tire but the thin inner tube as well. Puncturing objects can cut and tear inner tubes making them more difficult to seal. It is more difficult for LiQuiTube to be used after a tire with an inner tube as already gone flat since the holes may not line up in the tire and inner tube.
Q: Does LiQuiTube Void Tire Warranties?
A: LiQuiTube has been tested to show it does not degrade tire components, does not rust steel wire tire cords, and extends tire component life. LiQuiTube also passed additional Aluminum and Steel Corrosion Tests showing that the tire sealant does not degrade wheels. LiQuiTube does not void tire warranties and is legally protected by the Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act United States federal law, (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.).
Q: Does LiQuiTube Ruin Rims?
A: LiQuiTube passed Aluminum and Steel Corrosion Tests showing that the tire sealant does not degrade wheels.
Q: Does LiQuiTube hurt the integrity of a tire?
A: Third party testing of LiQuiTube by Smithers Scientific Services, Inc. found that LiQuiTube does not degrade tire components, does not rust steel wire tire cords, and acts as a heat sink which allows for cooler tread shoulder temperatures which can be shown to extend tire component life.
Q: Is it a mess to cleanout?
A: LiQuiTube is water soluble and can be easily rinsed off of a tire and wheel with water and washed down a drain or onto the ground. LiQuiTube meets EPA standards for non-hazardous municipal disposal.
Q: Do Tire Sealants Clog Valve Stems?
A: To insure the liquid coating of LiQuiTube does not work its way into a valve stem, it is recommended to hit the valve stem with a shot of air before checking air pressure or releasing air from the tire. LiQuiTube has patented clog free valve stems for tires using inflation/deflation systems, air sharing systems, or tires that get air pressure checks frequently.
Q: If LiQuiTube is so good, why isn’t everyone using it already?
A: Many consumers have had negative experiences with other tire sealant products. LiQuiTube is a guaranteed product with an A+ Better Business Bureau Rating. LiQuiTube is the #1 industrial tire protection product in trucking, farming and agriculture, construction, small engine, and power sports, but it still has many opportunities to continue growing and saving consumers time and money on their tire expenses.
Q: Will LiQuiTube throw my tires out of balance?
A: LiQuiTube outperforms all other balancing technologies for high speed industrial tires. LiQuiTube will dynamically balance any tire on a 19.5″ rim with standard side walls, or a 10 ply or heavier tire. LiQuiTube can be used in all non steer axle high speed tires. LiQuiTube should not be installed through valve stems with TPMS sensors.
Q: How long does LiQuiTube last?
A: LiQuiTube has an indefinite shelf life and remains liquid and effective in a tire for the life of the tire. LiQuiTube never separates, never needs to be mixed or stirred.
Q: Is LiQuiTube hazardous?
A: LiQuiTube is not hazardous, corrosive, flammable, or combustible.
Q: How do I dispose of LiQuiTube once it is rinsed out of tire?
A: LiQuiTube is water soluble and can be easily rinsed off of a tire and wheel with water and washed down a drain or onto the ground. LiQuiTube meets EPA standards for non-hazardous municipal disposal.
Q: Why didn’t LiQuiTube seal my tire?
A: The most common causes for LiQuiTube not being able to seal are under application, product dilution with water or other products, tire integrity issues, or inner liner rubber flaps. Please check our application calculator to ensure the correct amount of LiQuiTube was used. Air compressors can add water to a tire if they do not have a dryer unit. If multiple tire cords are damaged, then the integrity of a tire is compromised and the tire should no longer be used. If no sealant is seen coming out of a puncture hole then the hole may need to be reamed to remove any flaps or debris from the hole so LiQuiTube can come through the hole to make a permanent repair.
